#CoolSpaces | Walkersons Hotel & Spa Welcomes A New Cottage!

Walkersons Hotel & Spa, positioned in the rolling hills of Mpumalanga highlands with beautiful views, endless vistas and unrivalled serenity, just beyond the picturesque hamlet of Dullstroom, is thrilled to announce the addition of a new cottage, the Waterfall Cottage, to its coterie of self-catering cottages.

A perfect blend of elegance and charm Walkersons Hotel & Spa offers five-star indulgence with a choice of 27 luxurious hotel suites where each suite boasts elegant décor, stylishly appointed bathrooms and large verandas; and for those guests who prefer the independence of self-catering options, there are fully furnished, self-catering cottages situated in prime locations on the 800-hectare Walkersons Estate.

The latest addition, the bespoke, luxury Waterfall Cottage, situated on top of a hill overlooking the rumbling, roaring, cascading waters of the dam, is uniquely designed to provide both comfort and privacy for a countryside family vacation or a lively group getaway – it is truly one of a kind!

Boasting five luxury double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, Waterfall Cottage accommodates up to 10 guests, including children of all ages. Facilities in the open-plan, main living area include a 10-seater dining table with chairs, TV with DSTV and a DVD player, a spacious entertainment area with a bar, pool table and various fireplaces (for those cozy and chilly Dullstroom nights). The fully-equipped kitchen has a washing up area fitted with a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer; there is a covered braai area and an outdoor fire pit (wood is provided) and one of the most attractive features, the spacious veranda, with its 180 degree views over the Walkersons Estate and the waterfall, is the ideal place to relax while sipping on a glass of wine.

While seclusion and privacy is paramount, guests of Waterfall Cottage are more than welcome to make use of the hotel’s amenities – an absolute must is a reservation at Walkersons Hotel and Spa’s award-winning Flying Scotsman Restaurant under the direction of Chef Adri van Wieringen – for self-catering guests Breakfast is R 205 per person, Lunch is an á la carte menu and served on the Terrace, and Dinner is R 375 per person (families with children under the age of 12 will be seated in the Misty Trout family dining room or on the Terrace); guests can also make use of the hotel’s private pool, gym (equipped with a wide range of exercise equipment) and the luxurious Spa which offers a range of pampering treatments.
